Being a Tom Hanks film, and seeing the positive reviews, I expected much from the film; but it turned out to be very much under my expectations. Was not a faithful presentation of the original events. In the real incident there was no initial failed attempt of piracy. Also the showdown was at the port. Also the pirates were in contact with their associates and even the media. That was what made them trust the negotiations, and to be overconfident. The outcome in unbelievable with those omitted real life details.
